Skilling Ecosystem
We define and deliver pedagogy and implementation methodology for skill transfer in organizations related to underwater domain.

Pioneering Underwater Excellence

Skilling in underwater domain awareness is crucial for unlocking opportunities in sustainability, security, and innovation, addressing global challenges like renewable energy and environmental stewardship. The Maritime Research Center (MRC) plays a pivotal role through its comprehensive e-learning modules and strategic collaborations, such as with the Indo-Swiss Center of Excellence. By offering structured training in marine spatial planning, technology, and blue economy principles, MRC empowers students and professionals to drive impactful solutions. Their efforts bridge knowledge gaps, foster skill transfer, and promote sustainable career pathways in this vital field.

Skilling Ecosystem for UDA

This YouTube video introduces a collaboration with the Indo-Swiss Center of Excellence to launch educational modules focused on underwater domain awareness. It promotes a transformative learning experience for students and professionals, featuring expertly designed skilling modules that cover strategic security, blue economy, sustainability, and technology. Highlighting opportunities in renewable energy, environmental policy, and beyond, it aims to inspire innovation and sustainable career paths in the underwater domain. The initiative encourages participants to engage with cutting-edge experts and explore boundless learning possibilities. It positions the underwater realm as a frontier for impactful solutions, blending science, policy, and practical skills to shape a future of global significance.

As the first step, this phase enables sensitization of the audiences towards the opportunities within the Underwater Domain. This is executed with strategic outreach program comprising of webinars, seminars, workshops, interactions and more driven by specific agenda relevant to the audiences and allied stakeholders.

At this stage we ensure adequate handholding to facilitate skill building and creation of adequate knowledge to drive momentum. With help of alliance partners and our deep knowledge experts, we ensure transfer of skills and attitudes required for future success.

At this step, the focus is on creating long term sustainable frameworks with effective policy & technology interventions at multiple levels. The implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Best Practices (BPs) play a strong role in ensuring that stakeholders are able to sustain the momentum required to deliver sustainable impact in areas related to the Underwater Domain.

Skilling Modules

The “Skilling Modules” document, published by the Maritime Research Center (MRC) in February 2024, outlines a comprehensive framework for skill development in the underwater domain. This document details structured e-learning modules designed to enhance knowledge and expertise among students and young professionals. It covers various submodules addressing critical aspects of underwater domain awareness, including marine spatial planning, security, sustainability, and technology interventions. The document emphasizes MRC’s role in fostering skill transfer through strategic outreach, hands-on training, and sustainable policy frameworks, aligning with their mission to advance underwater domain awareness.

E-Learning Modules

E-Learning Modules have been developed to provide a nuanced exposure to the students and young professionals on varied aspects of the UDA framework. The modules have been developed in series of submodules that cover the varied dimensions of the topics. The series are mentioned below and the concept note for each is linked:
