Prof. Anamika is trained in Ecological Economics and her research interest lies in understanding how political, social and economic factors shapes environmental decisions and change, particularly related to water. Her research interests include – socio economic vulnerability to climate change, water and livelihood security in the context of climate change, ecological accounting (ecological footprints, virtual water flow through trade) and water governance including transboundary water governance. She has been teaching at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati as Professor for 3 years and was an Associate Professor for 9 years before that. She is also an executive member of INSEE (The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies)
