Underwater acoustics is the study of the propagation of sound in water and the interaction of the acoustic waves with water, its contents and its boundaries [1]. A lot of work has been done on underwater channel development from ray models to wave models. Existing models and theories have been applied to specific regions depending upon the parameters unique to that region like Baltic Sea, Arctic Sea and Atlantic Ocean. The Indian Ocean Region (IOR) is the strategically most
important sea area globally. But similar studies conducted in this region are comparatively less.
