Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava is a career diplomat who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1997. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has pursued further studies in Structural Engineering and Earthquake Sciences.
Mr. Srivastava has served in Indian Embassies in Madrid (Spain), Yangon (Myanmar), Vienna (Austria), Brasilia (Brazil) and Tokyo (Japan). While at Headquarters in Delhi, he has worked in Foreign Service Institute, Americas (U.S. & Canada) Division, and Gulf (Persian Gulf) Division. In his last assignment in Delhi during 2015-2017, he was on deputation as Joint Secretary to National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), Government of India, looking after the External Security.
